Maria Honl-Elmore was born and raised in North Portland. She’s part of a family with multigenerational North Portland roots, giving her an insider’s advantage in the booming real estate market. She loves the neighborhoods for their accessibility to all parts of the city, easy business access, attractive homes, and the lack of urban sprawl.
Maria likes getting to know her clients, and always treats them as individuals, not as items on a to-do list. “I Like to build relationships and help people get into a new home whether they are purchasing one, or selling one and moving.” As a realtor, her greatest satisfaction is seeing the look of excitement on her client’s face when their offer is accepted or the “sold” sign goes up.
With deep ties to the Portland community, Maria has many reasons to love the city but at the top of her list? The charm. “I love that there are so many old homes with charm and character still. It appeals to people looking to design and those who want to keep a part of the old as well. My favorite part is walking into a home and seeing the same linoleum in the kitchen that I grew up with. And then helping my clients to foresee what it can become.” Maria’s ideal home is a contemporary home with old world charm.
Maria tends to work with buyers and sellers who are looking for terrific properties off the beaten path and an authentic Portland experience. In her spare time, Maria enjoys hiking, reading, and making stained glass artwork. Some of her pieces, which are set on flagstones, are on display in the yards of homes she helped sell! You can also find her attending her children’s soccer games.
Maria has been a broker for 5 years now and Farrell is grateful to have her. “ Farrell is a true community business. I love the people I work with and that the owners give back to our local community. It’s like a family here.” Thank you Maria for your hard work and dedication, you are well deserving of our first employee feature.
